About Hallmark

About History of Hallmark Computer International

I want to put this in any areas including at 1995  Facebook timeline. I can't go back more than five years. If information is not accurate in other places please update to this. as it is the an original document I recently found.

The company started operating in December 1995 and was located at the ‘little office’ on Wood Street in Darwin city.  The branch was initially manned by Helen Wernham (a staff member who had been seconded from the S.A. company), and a local Darwin technician, Ted Lander.  Unfortunately Helen tragically passed away in January 1996 after contracting the meliodosis virus.

Despite this tragedy, the first four months of operation were frenetic and very promising.  As the branch was growing at a rapid rate it was decided to relocate to larger premises at Coconut Grove in May 1996.  Hallmark NT remained at Coconut Grove until September 2001.

Continued business growth particularly through Hallmark NT’s success at being involved in the winning tender from the CSC Consortium group of companies to supply IT services to NT Government, has seen the business operation located at it’s current location at 60 McMinn Street, Darwin since September 2001.  Our current premises are a state of the art, split level, 850sqm facility with an extensive warehouse, PC assembling and warranty set up.
Hallmark Computers is a Darwin Based Business that was established back in 1995 and throughout this time we have been a distribution warehouse to support IT related companies across the top end. We have over 200 resellers on record from large national companies such as Harvey Norman, Mid range Computer Specialists such as Cut Price Computers, Darwin Business Machines, Data Protection & Support, East Kimberly Computers, Leal Technology, NT Technology, Terrorbyte.com.au and Tropical Computers; through to your smaller IT Providers and small business start-ups.
